# Trading Fees

## Trading fees on easy.fun consist of two components

* Hyperliquid Base Fee (set by the HL protocol)
* easy.fun Markup (applied on top of HL fees, reduced by Kernel Points Level)

### Hyperliquid Base Fee (HL Protocol)

* Futures: Maker 0.015%, Taker 0.045% (progressively lower at higher HL tiers).
* Fee Tiering: Based on 14-day rolling volume (Spot volume is weighted ×2).
* HYPE Staking Discount: Staking HYPE provides 5%–40% fee discount on HL base fees.

### easy.fun Markup

* +1.00% on Spot trades.
* +0.05% on Futures trades.
* Markup is progressively reduced as your Kernel Points Level increases.

### Effective Trading Fee

Hyperliquid Base Fee (after tier/discounts) + easy.fun Markup (after Kernel Points reduction)As your trading balance grows, you unlock **higher HL tiers** (lower base fees) and **higher Kernel Points Levels** (lower markup + better reward multipliers).

### Examples

<table data-header-hidden><thead><tr><th width="164.7578125"></th><th></th><th></th><th></th><th></th><th></th><th></th></tr></thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Example</strong></td><td><strong>Trade Size</strong></td><td><strong>HL Base Fee</strong></td><td><strong>Discount / Adjustment</strong></td><td><strong>easy.fun Markup</strong></td><td><strong>Total Fee Rate</strong></td><td><strong>Estimated Fee</strong></td></tr><tr><td><strong>A — Spot Taker(Tier 0, no staking)</strong></td><td>$1,000 (SOL/USDC)</td><td>0.070% (taker)</td><td>None</td><td>+1.00%</td><td>1.070%</td><td>$10.70</td></tr><tr><td><strong>B — Futures Maker(20% staking discount)</strong></td><td>$50,000 (ETH/USDC)</td><td>0.015% (maker)</td><td>−20% HL discount → 0.012%</td><td>+0.05%</td><td>0.062%</td><td>$31.00</td></tr><tr><td><strong>C — Futures Taker(Tier 0, no staking)</strong></td><td>$20,000 (BTC/USDC)</td><td>0.045% (taker)</td><td>None</td><td>+0.05%</td><td>0.095%</td><td>$19.00</td></tr></tbody></table>

### **Takeaways**

* Spot taker fees are highest due to the +1.00% markup (reduced as Kernel Points increase).
* Futures maker fees can be very competitive when combined with HL staking discounts.
* Futures taker fees remain relatively low compared to Spot taker trades.

***Notes & Disclaimer***

* *Maker rebates may apply at high maker-volume shares; these are **not included** in the above examples.*
* *Fees, discounts, and tiering rules are **subject to change without prior notice**. Always refer to the official Hyperliquid fee schedule for the latest rates.*

## How Fees Are Calculated

As your Kernel points balance increases, you unlock higher levels that raise the trading-points multiplier and progressively reduce fees.

*Points Multiplier shows how much faster you earn Kernel Points at each level — for example, 2.0x means you earn twice as many points per trade.*
